RN - Medical/Surgical Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout each shift, delivering care consistent with the nursing process and medical plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups
• Incorporate patient and family input into individualized care plans, including teaching and discharge planning needs
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Prescribe and evaluate nursing interventions aligned with both patient needs and the overall medical plan of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required during orientation
• Recent EPIC and Cerner experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Recent acute care facility experience
