Director, It OperationsYou will direct and execute the operational and tactical delivery of IT infrastructure and technology services aligned to enterprise strategy. You are responsible for managing core IT operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of systems, and supporting the implementation of technology initiatives that enable the organization's business objectives. You are directly responsible for the IT Operations department, which includes Network Engineering; Systems Engineering (Windows, UNIX); Data Services (DBAs); Systems Administration; Service Desk; Network Operations Center; and Sales Support Technology.You will:Provide director level input into Information Technology Strategic PlanningTranslate IT strategic vision into operational plans and measurable service outcomesParticipate in long- and short-range planning and directing of operational activitiesLead in the execution of the IT governance processImplement overall IT governance and oversee adherence to policies and proceduresEstablish and maintain an infrastructure and operations roadmap focused on reducing complexity, increasing agility, emphasizing re-usability, and adhering to cost effective managementServe as technical and operational consultant to leadership and business managersAdvise on technical strategies and translate business requirements into operational solutionsSupport vendor and consultant engagement; perform research and analysis and prepare reports, proposals and recommendationsUnderstand and evaluate the applicability of new technical developments in area of information systems, office service and office automation equipment and softwareKeep informed on industry trends and emerging technologies that can serve as a competitive advantage or threatMaintain technological knowledge on a broad variety of topics and skills, including data and application integration, cloud infrastructure, operations automation and securityProvide direction and leadership to Technology TeamProvide administrative direction and coordination of departmental activitiesAssist in the preparation, development and administration of departmental expenditure and revenue budgetsMonitor, coordinate and support internal communication and activities to ensure effective service deliveryDrive operational excellence through service management, incident/problem/change management, and continuous improvementYou have:4-year degree or higher in related technical and business areasA minimum of 7 years of technology experience and related management experienceUnderstanding of project management methodologies and tools, and a strong knowledge of applicable business areas, the supporting technology architecture, and applicable processesStrong knowledge of relevant applications and development life cycles, general knowledge of professional services vendors, and tools and experience overseeing geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroupsStrong understanding of IT infrastructure and IT service management (incident/problem/change) practicesA broad understanding of general business and management practices and system design techniques and controlsStrong influencing/negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of business and technology trends and strong interpersonal/Leadership, initiative and innovationDemonstrated ability to identify, establish and track key performance metrics and key indicators and to prepare reports and analyses for management review and actionAnalytical orientation, with demonstrated ability to organize and structure detailed information and to identify and analyze key trendsLove where you work:We care about your health.
