Fluxergy is a rapidly growing in vitro diagnostics company innovating on the cutting-edge of laboratory testing. We're developing the first and only multi-modal point-of-care platform that enables molecular, clinical chemistry, immunoassay, and hematology testing on the same system.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer who thrives on ownership, collaboration, and solving complex technical problems. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of electronic systems for diagnostic and life sciences products, working across the full hardware development lifecycle—from design and prototyping through testing, integration, and production.

You'll have the autonomy to drive your work forward while working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team. What You Will Do

• Design and review electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and system architectures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to develop and integrate reliable electronic systems.
• Own electrical design activities from design and prototyping through testing, troubleshooting, verification, and documentation.
• Support hardware bring-up, design verification, system integration, and prototype builds.
• Design and implement PCBA test fixtures and test procedures for manufacturing and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, verification protocols, test procedures, and engineering reports.
• Support PCB development from prototype through production, including Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and manufacturing support.
• Ensure designs comply with FDA requirements and applicable medical device industry standards.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and project timelines clearly across cross-functional teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting analog and digital hardware.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, signal integrity, and embedded systems.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or similar ECAD software.
• Experience with embedded hardware and microcontrollers, including interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Strong hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills using laboratory test equipment.
• Experience designing and building PCBA test fixtures for manufacturing, functional testing, or troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing, DFM, and supporting hardware from prototype builds through production.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
• A demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership, manage priorities, and drive projects forward.
• Experience in medical devices, diagnostic instruments, life sciences, or another regulated industry is preferred.
• Experience with STM32 microcontrollers and development toolsets is a plus.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000/yr
