Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and DeliveryThis position involves caring for a diverse range of patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including those in labor, undergoing circulating c-sections, and antepartum patients. Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments for newborns and providing immediate postpartum care.Shift: Nights - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMStart Date: ASAPLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications:BLS certification requiredActive RN license in the state of employment or a compact licenseCurrent certification required from one of the following:AWHONN Intermediate FHM InstructorAWHONN Instructor TrainerNCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) (must obtain certification within one month after passing the exam)Current NRP certification requiredCurrent ACLS certification requiredRequirements:Weekend requirement: YesOn-call requirement: NoFloating requirement: NoNurse/Patient Ratios:1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation1:2 for cervical ripening (Cytotec or low dose Pitocin)1:2-3 for Antepartum (depending on acuity)1:2-3 for Triage1:1 for immediate postpartum care (2 hours post-birth) for both mother and babyDress Code:Navy blue or pink scrubs are required.Experience:A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.Client Details City Lake Charles State LA
