As part of the Oshkosh Corporation family since 1999, we help shape the future with innovative capabilities and a commitment to quality.Competitive Pay (Based on Experience)Starting rate: $26.75 per hourShift premium: $1.00 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shiftsWage increases every 6 months until top pay, then annuallyVoluntary OvertimeAll overtime is optional and is available before or after your scheduled shift.Comprehensive Benefits Package (Effective After 30 Days)Medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverageHealth Savings Account (HSA)Disability and life insurance401(k) and pension planPaid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysEmployee wellness programsStock purchase and employee discount programsShift Options3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AMAll shifts include a paid lunch.Essential FunctionsProficiently prepare, apply, and verify customer coating and surface preparation requirementsEnsure substrates are clean and free of contaminants like dirt or oilMix and apply coatings according to manufacturer specificationsAvoid defects such as runs, sags, thin spots, and ensure proper dry/cure timesAdjust paint and process parameters based on humidity, temperature, or anomaliesRepair or blend coating defects to a high standard of finishEnsure uniform coating thickness using wet mil or dry film gaugesPerform daily and weekly cleaning and preventive maintenance on painting/mixing equipmentMaintain effectiveness and code compliance of grounding and air filtration systemsGeneral Employee ExpectationsComplete all required paperwork, including labor reporting and quality documentationMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work areaPerform self-inspections and other quality control tasks at the workstationConduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipmentAssist in the training and development of personnelPerform work at lower classification levels when assignedCarry out other duties as directed by supervisionRequired QualificationsBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and writeAble to work independently with moderate supervisionMust pass a physical exam required for respirator useMust be able to enter confined spaces as requiredPhysical RequirementsFrequent lifting/carrying of up to 35 lbsOccasional lifting (3–6 times per shift) of 65–70 lb paint pailsUse of lifting devices encouraged and availablePreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or technical school trainingOne to three years of painting experiencePrevious experience in a manufacturing environment
