Exercise Physiologist PRN

Position Summary: The Exercise Physiologist - PRN works in a nationally certified cardiac and pulmonary rehab program for all phases of rehab (in‑patient and out‑patient). Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, and implements exercise and related programs for both cardiac and pulmonary rehab. Provides assessments and treatments of patients. Performs a wide variety of non‑invasive cardiac and pulmonary tests. Organizes and conducts medically prescribed cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part, and improve cardiac and pulmonary healing. Assists the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their disease. Follows guidelines, requirements, and recommendations from AACVPR and ACSM. Improves work procedures and methods, primarily yielding time and cost savings. Works frequently with internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work‑related information. Maintains normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others. Education: Master's Degree of Science in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. Must pass the hospital Arrhythmia test within three (3) months of hire. Licensure/Certification: Current ACLS certification required (needs to be obtained prior to or within the first three months of employment). Current CPR certification. American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist certification and/or AMSCs Registered Clinical Exercise Physiology Exam preferred. Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation setting required, relevant to the setting(s) to which the employee will be assigned. Knowledge of Scottcare telemetry system preferred. Salary Range: Minimum $30.00/hour – Maximum $30.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
