Committed to excellence, Olen is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while being responsible stewards of the environment and respectful neighbors in the communities we serve.**Job Description:**Summary: **Heavy Equipment Mechanic**Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment. **Pay:** $30-$35 an hour, based on experience.We have opportunities for both **Day Shift**and **Night Shift:** \* The typical **DAY shift** is Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed) 6am- 6pm \* The typical **NIGHT shift** is Monday-Friday, 6pm-6am \*\* Minimal travel is associated with this role **Duties and Responsibilities:*** Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.* Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.* Write and complete service reports.* Participate in company training programs.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Education and Experience:*** Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred.* 5+ years’ experience **preferred****Skills and Abilities:*** Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.* Operation of a variety of types of equipment* Diagnosis and repair of diesel engines* Maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of equipment electrical systems* Hydraulic troubleshooting* Use of hydraulic and electrical schematics* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.* Crane knowledge a plus* Ability to properly document work completed* Desire to take on new challengesOlen offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, company paid life, and disability insurance.
