Company Description Chickadee Chatter Speech Therapy LLC is a pediatric speech therapy practice in Southern Maine, serving early talkers, preschoolers, school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults. The practice focuses on helping clients build confidence in communicating across spoken, written, and alternative forms of communication. Services are neurodiversity affirming, honoring each client’s unique strengths, needs, and communication style. Therapy is child-led and family-centered, with caregivers actively involved in planning and carrying out strategies at home and in the community. Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist will provide direct, evidence-based speech and language services to pediatric clients on-site at the Springvale, ME clinic as part of a contract role. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and developing individualized treatment plans for children and young adults with a range of communication needs. The role involves delivering one-on-one and small group therapy sessions, documenting progress, and communicating regularly with families and caregivers. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with other providers and schools when appropriate, support neurodiversity-affirming and child-led approaches, and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Speech Therapy and Speech, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in pediatric and adolescent populations. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current CCC-SLP (or eligibility) through ASHA. Active Maine state Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, and family-centered care, with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to work independently in an on-site clinical setting, manage a caseload, and maintain organized, timely documentation.
