JPMC is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to work closely with development teams on enterprise Java applications. This position focuses on application security assessments, penetration testing, secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and integrating security practices throughout the SDLC.
Required Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience

8+ years of Information Technology experience
-
5+ years of experience as a Software Developer, Architect, or similar role

Strong Java/Web development experience
-
Strong secure coding background
-
Experience with RHEL and JBoss
-
3+ years of Application Security Engineering experience

Experience performing application security assessments and penetration testing
-
Experience with SAST and DAST tools
-
Hands-on experience with Fortify and SonarQube
-
Experience identifying, prioritizing, and remediating application vulnerabilities
-
Strong understanding of secure SDLC practices

Experience reviewing code commits, pull requests, and architecture changes
-
Perform technical application security assessments and penetration testing
-
Analyze vulnerabilities using static and dynamic application scanning tools
-
Work with development teams to diagnose and remediate vulnerabilities
-
Review source code, pull requests, and architecture changes for security risks
-
Identify and implement security checkpoints throughout the SDLC
-
Provide application security guidance to development teams
-
Support application development security training
-
Research emerging attack vectors and cybersecurity trends
-
Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines
-
Utilize AI-driven code analysis platforms to identify vulnerabilities and insecure coding patterns

Prioritize security findings and track remediation

Prepare risk reports and status updates for leadership and stakeholders

Communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
