Embark on a meaningful journey as a Special Education 1:1 Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in the dynamic setting of a supportive school environment near Fitchburg, MA. This full-time, on-site role is perfectly suited for travel professionals passionate about making a measurable difference by working directly with students who require individualized educational support.
What You Bring:
- Active State Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
- Strong experience in 1:1 instruction with students receiving special education services
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful approach to meeting diverse student needs
- Proven ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to a designated student, ensuring educational goals are met according to the IEP
- Collaborate with other teachers, service providers, and families to support the academic and social development of the student
- Monitor and document student progress; adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Employ evidence-based interventions and accommodations to maximize success
- Maintain timely communication and compliance with school policies and federal/state guidelines
