\nThe Toolmaker Cuttergrind hourly pay is $34.25. There is 5% Shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. \n

Job Duties/ Responsibilities: \n
\n• Operate Mobile CMMS Device for Reactive Calls as well as Preventive Maintenance assignments.\n
\n• Must understand mechanics of machining and grinding centers, heat-treat furnaces, and assembly lines. \n
\n• Must understand automation, conveyors, and mechanical systems.\n
\n• Assist Inspecting robotic end of arm tooling.\n
\n• Must understand Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Force presses, gauging stations, and automated welding assembly.\n
\n• Must understand tool room capabilities: lathes, Bridgeport, grinders, sanders, welding.\n
\n• Utilize calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure product quality, complete end of arm tooling inspections, and assist in gauging.\n
\n• Assist with fabrication work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies.\n
\n• Perform tests with completed tools to ensure that parts meet specifications, adjust, as necessary.\n
\n• Assist in file, grind, shim, and adjustment tasks to properly fit parts together per print.\n
\n• Lift, position and secure machine parts on surface plates or worktables, using hoists, vises, v-blocks, or angle plates.\n
\n• Cut shape and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes, using power saws, power shears, rulers, and hand tools.\n
\n• Set up and operate drill presses to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly.\n
\n• Assist in cutting, shaping, and trimming blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes, using power saws, power shears, rulers, and hand tools.\n
\n• Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.\n
\n• Inspect and operate several types of mobile equipment such as forklifts and hoists.\n
\n• Adhere to safety requirements and processes.\n
\n• Accept direction from various members of the management team.\n
\n• Assist in Troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems. \n
\n• Work with outside vendors. \n
\n• Work in an efficient manner to minimize equipment down time.\n
\n• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training.\n
\n• Comply with all IATF policies and procedures.\n
\n• Provide input into plant RCA process (Root Cause Analysis)\n
\n• Provide input for periodic PM reviews- Machine Reliability\n
\n• Performs all work in a safe manner\n
\n• Perform other duties as assigned.\n
\n
Essential Skills and Experience: \n
\n• Minimum of three (3) years toolmaker experience. \n
\n• Must have up-to-date technological training and experience of newer state-of-the-art equipment.\n
\n• Must have own tools.\n
\n
Preferred Skills and Experience \n
\n
\nExperience in the Automotive industry. \n
\n
\nSkilled trades technical education. \n
\n
\nCNC machine builder. \n
\n
\nManufacturing experience. \n
\n

\nWork Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to an engineering lab atmosphere with some office exposure. The engineering lab includes a machine shop, where the associate is exposed to potentially hazardous equipment and moderate to high noise levels, both requiring the use of protective equipment to ensure the safety of the associate. \n
