Mortgage Field Inspector (1099 Independent Contractor)

GIS Field Services

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Coating Inspector to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all coated products meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory requiremen NACE (now AMPP) or NBPI (Naval Basic Paint Inspector) Coating Inspector monitors surface preparation and protective coating applications to prevent corrosion on industrial or marine structures.. $28.69–$39.01 hourly Full-time Inspect abrasive blasting and measure ambient conditions like temperature, humidity, and dew point. Coating Application Inspection: Verify wet film thickness (WFT) during application and measure dry film thickness (DFT) using non-destructive tools after curing. Conduct holiday (pinhole) testing, adhesion testing, and surface profile measurements. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure work adheres to project specifications, industry standards (AMPP, SSPC, ASTM), and naval requirements (NAVSEA for NBPI); maintain detailed daily quality control logs. #J-18808-Ljbffr GIS Field Services
