Position: Credentialing Specialist


Location: Remote (Temporary) | Hybrid in Irving, TX upon Conversion (1 day/week onsite)


Pay Range: $25 - $27 per hour


Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.


Position Overview


Addison Group is hiring for our client, a growing healthcare organization, seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support provider onboarding and credentialing for newly acquired practices. This position plays a key role in ensuring providers are credentialed, enrolled, and ready to practice while maintaining compliance with state and payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complete provider credentialing files
• Coordinate credentialing activities for newly onboarded practices
• Process provider enrollment applications through payer portals
• Submit and monitor licensure, credentialing, and hospital privilege applications
• Track credential renewals and ensure providers remain compliant
• Communicate with physicians and internal departments regarding outstanding documentation and application status
• Maintain provider profiles within credentialing software
• Assist with provider onboarding, offboarding, and practice transitions
• Support hospital appointments, facility credentialing, and provider updates
• Maintain accurate documentation and credentialing records
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of credentialing or provider enrollment experience
• Experience building and maintaining credentialing files
• Knowledge of healthcare credentialing processes and payer enrollment
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital credentialing experience
• Experience working with credentialing software platforms
• Knowledge of provider licensure, hospital privileges, and payer enrollment processes
