Survey Office Technician | is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Starting Salary Range: $52,000-65,000EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are currently seeking a Survey Office Technician for a full-time position in our St. Louis, Missouri office. Our company offers a locally competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.Job Description:Under the direct supervision of our Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and Survey Manager, the Survey Office Technician will be responsible for assisting with daily operations within the Survey Department. The majority of our work is on highway and bridge design projects which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs, municipal and county governmental agencies and other engineering firms.Duties & Responsibilities:The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive: Maintain clear, concise, and accurate office filesSupport the Project Surveyors to efficiently complete tasks assigned to office staffSupport the Survey Field Crews to efficiently complete tasks assigned to field crewsProvide coordination and expertise related to the work of field survey crews and office staffReview survey crew field workPrepare accurate computer drafted surveys, plats, topographic surveys, and engineering surveys based on field surveysResearch and prepare land descriptions and maps in accordance with applicable standardsPerform other job duties as assignedMinimum Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:High school diploma5+ years of experience in a similar positionProficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStationStrong verbal, written and organizational skillsProficient with mathematical computations/calculations using algebra and geometryAbility to understand and interpret information in plats, maps, reports, descriptions, surveys, digital map models, etc.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and coworkersHigh level of personal integrity, ethics, client confidentiality and professionalismProficiency with Excel and other general office softwareValid Driver's LicensePreferred Experience:Associate or bachelor's degree in land surveying or a related field with relevant courseworkLSIT CertificationPhysical Qualifications:Primarily office work with the possibility of some occasional field workAbility to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of timeSufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and softwareAbility to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time Requires strong physical ability to walk long distances through a variety of terrains, lift and transport up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periodsDemonstrate flexibility and/or agility, as well as hand dexterity to operate equipment/toolsWillingness to endure a variety of weather conditions, as well as possible exposures to poisonous plants, insects, snakes, and animalsAbility to commute and/or travel long distances and/or stay overnight at project locations for extended timeEFK Moen, LLC offers its full-time employees:Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Company HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company ContributionCompany sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverageCompany sponsored life insurance coverageProfessional License exam fee reimbursementBonus OpportunitiesSupport of professional organization membership and activitiesWork-life balance through a flexible, casual work environmentA culture of mentoring and teamworkEFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
