This position is based in our Pittsfield, Massachusetts office. Your responsibilities would include: Preparation and review of business, individual, estate and fiduciary returns. Tax planning and consulting for small businesses and high net worth individuals. Direct client contact to assess and address their needs. You should possess the following skills: Strong independent working skills with the ability to initiate and follow up on projects Analytical, technical tax and accounting skills Experience with software used in a tax preparation practice including the digital tools used in a paperless office environment. As a Staff/Tax Accountant you will work to develop and sustain excellent client relationships. As a member of our team you will assist our clients by providing a full spectrum of accounting related services. You must be able to efficiently develop the technical skills necessary to assist in all tasks associated with accounting and tax engagements, including the preparation of various tax returns for our clients. Qualifications: College degree preferred. Your unique relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Self‑motivated. Ability to work quickly and accurately under regular time deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with digital tools used in a paperless office environment a plus. Seasonal Tax Return Preparer We are currently seeking a Seasonal Tax Return Preparer in our Pittsfield office. You will work primarily within our tax practice to prepare Individual Income Tax Returns. Expected dates of availability are February 1st through April 15th. Fast pace, flexible hours. Requirements: Previous experience preparing Form 1040 tax returns and various Schedules is preferred. Proficiency with Windows based computers is required; including Excel, Adobe Acrobat and internet based software. Basic research skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
