We are looking for an experienced LPN that can provide a high level of care. This is a union position./ppSchedule: 3pm-7pm 5 days per week with rotating weekends./ph3Job Duties/h3pThe purpose of your job as a Licensed Practical Nurse is to perform a variety of care practices under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Supervisor of the unit/shift. This includes, but not limited to:/pulliTake and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc./liliObserve residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc./liliMonitor residents condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts./liliAdminister injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds./liliCollect samples for lab testing as assigned./liliProvide emotional and psychological support when needed./liliCommunicate with residents family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliPlease do not apply if you cannot meet the shift requirements (5 days per week and must be able to arrive at 3pm)/liliNursing home or LTC experience required/liliCurrently licensed by the State of New York./liliPossesses attention to detail and observation skills that enable the recognition of condition changes in the resident./liliAbility to coordinate all functions in the operation of a resident unit through effective team nursing assignments./liliKind, helpful and compassionate./li/ul/div
