You clock in, scan the work orders, and roll your toolbox toward the first bay. A tractor comes in for a scheduled PM—fluids, filters, brake inspection. After lunch, you tackle a rough‑idle complaint on a diesel powertrain: scan codes, trace wiring, verify fuel pressure, road test. Before the day wraps, you adjust a trailer’s suspension ride height and replace a worn brake chamber—then button everything up, document your work, and leave the bay spotless. That’s a typical rhythm here.

What You’ll Handle

• Routine maintenance and corrective repairs on semi‑trailers and diesel engines.
• Hands‑on diagnostics to pinpoint mechanical issues and implement durable fixes.
• Inspections and functional tests of braking, steering, and suspension systems.
• Clear, accurate documentation of services, parts used, and test results.
• Close coordination with teammates to move work orders across the finish line on time.
• Continuous learning to stay current with diesel technology and trailer systems.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards in the shop.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical program in diesel technology is preferred.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic (or closely related role).
• In‑depth knowledge of diesel engines and semi‑trailer components/systems.
• Ability to read and apply service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Sharp troubleshooting instincts and meticulous attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfort working independently as well as within a team environment.
• Schedule flexibility, including occasional weekends when needed.
