Job Summary The Manager, Planning is a critical junior/mid-level role that works closely with senior leaders to steer the strategic direction and serve as a marketing partner for clients. The Manager demonstrates strong knowledge of the media space (traditional and digital) and is responsible for managing day‑to‑day client objectives, resource needs, and ongoing goals. The role is hybrid‑based in Chicago, IL, but remote candidates in the continental USA are considered. Responsibilities Experience working on large client accounts. Understanding of all media channels and coordination across multiple disciplines (SEM, social, TV, OLV, OOH, radio, etc.). Ability to design full‑funnel media campaigns and coordinate with creative agencies. Ability to coordinate with multi‑channel teams to create integrated media plans across awareness‑based channels (TV, CTV, video, social, programmatic, audio). Comfort with owning client relationships, communicating directly on questions and initiatives. Help evaluate timelines, manage day‑to‑day deliverables, and analyze competitive landscapes. Manage a large media budget and create media flowcharts. Drive media channel selection and identify forward‑thinking opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of media planning experience. Relevant media planning and buying experience with retail focus. Familiarity with Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, web analytics, ad servers, and other research tools. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $51,000‑$75,000 (based on experience and other factors).
