- Assist in the full-cycle leasing process, including marketing vacancies, conducting property tours, screening applicants, and preparing lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records, lease files, and move-in/move-out documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance vendors and contractors to schedule repairs, track work orders, and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and manage property operations, including rent collection, late fee processing, and payment reconciliation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Conduct regular property inspections and document findings, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, budget tracking, and expense monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations, including fair housing laws and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager on strategic initiatives, such as rent increases, policy updates, and community engagement programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment, including digital and physical file systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in property management, customer service, or operations within the real estate industry.
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, Buildium) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of leasing laws, tenant-landlord regulations, and fair housing compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and availability to perform on-site visits and attend evening or weekend events as needed.
