Role Details Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Schedule Night shift with a 4x12 schedule, 48 hours per week, every 3rd weekend. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans. Identify teaching needs and goals and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record. Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning and teaching from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status between care providers to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately. Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies. Contribute to the functioning of the unit by providing direction and reassurance to staff, patients, and families. Assume charge responsibilities as needed and prioritize tasks for effective patient care. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience. Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
