Personal Banker I - Mockingbird Abrams

General Function The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff, helping customers understand and address their financial needs using a consultative sales and service process. The banker is responsible for risk management, policy compliance, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered by the bank. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure customers are placed in solutions that align with their needs. Provide customer support that reinforces the value of current and new technology. Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected from every employee. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with new household acquisitions and deepen customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Business acumen and ability to make sound decisions. This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Working Conditions Normal office environment with extensive computer screen time.
