Primary Objective:  In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

• Clerk is responsible for daily incoming and outgoing product shipments. 

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

• May be required to complete tasks involving the use of forklifts and lift trucks including but not limited to: o Transporting bales from shipping dock to warehouse by way of forklift o Checking mechanics of lift truck

o Safeguarding trailers before loading or unloading o Loading and unloading trucks

• Preparing shipping documents and reports
• Entering data into the computer system
• Prepare orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, maintain inventory, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship o May rolling, wrap, and tag rolls for shipment
• Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision 
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Lift Truck Certification preferred 
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• Experience operating forklifts and lift trucks preferred 
• Knowledge of Cams and AS400 systems preferred
• Knowledge of principles involved in planning and resource allocation of distribution operations
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• 1 year experience materials planning or shipping and receiving in a manufacturing operation or administration of a distribution or warehousing operations
