Step into a day as our Quality Systems & Process Improvement Engineer

You start your morning reviewing control charts and yield dashboards, spotting a trend before it becomes a problem. By mid-morning, you’re facilitating MRB, guiding a root-cause exercise that cuts straight to the data. After lunch, you join an APQP checkpoint to lock in control plans and PPAP deliverables, then swing by the floor to validate a FAIR. You close the day coaching a teammate on PFMEA tactics and prepping a supplier process audit.

What you’ll tackle

• Lead cross-functional efforts to cut process and product nonconformances using rigorous data analysis and clear reporting.
• Drive APQP quality planning: craft control and inspection plans; own PPAP submissions; execute FAIR; facilitate FMEA/PFMEA.
• Champion continuous improvement; co-lead MRB and Root Cause Corrective Actions to closure.
• Partner with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing to resolve issues and confirm all product quality requirements are achieved.
• Mentor teammates and deliver targeted training to elevate quality practices across the site.
• Plan and conduct audits: internal documentation, part, process, product, supplier, and customer-focused assessments.

What you bring

• Certified ASQ Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE) or a two-year engineering-related degree with 5+ years of direct or indirect manufacturing quality experience (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
• Background in Battery Production, Machining, or Electronic Assembly and harnessing is a strong plus.
• High professional ethics and conduct; confident facilitator and leader with strong conflict-resolution skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, recognize patterns, and drive decisions to improve performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of building executive-ready reports and presentations.
• Hands-on with ERP/MRP (Infor Syteline, SAP) and planning tools.
• Expert user of CAD/CAE tools or other data-intensive interfaces.
• Advanced proficiency with SharePoint, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
• Willing to travel 10%–25% based on business needs.
