POSITION: COMMERCIAL  LITIGATION PARALEGAL

L OCATION: NEW JERSEY OFFICE

 

Prominent mid-Atlantic law firm with multiple regional office locations seeks a Litigation Paralegal for their New Jersey Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting lawyers in all aspects of the Litigation Department’s caseloads, including: 

1. organization and maintenance of court materials
2. drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents
3. preparation of correspondence, memoranda, discovery, and other communications with minimal supervision
4. management of docket, matter dates, and deadlines
5. deposition digesting and preparation
6. coordination of deposition, hearing, motion and trial preparation. 

• Assist with and coordinate paper and electronic discovery process, including: 

1. identifying potentially relevant electronically stored information (“ESI”)
2. draft and issue legal hold notices
3. coordinate with clients to identify, preserve, and collect relevant sources of ESI and paper discovery
4. assist with processing, reviewing, and coding ESI.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Five (5+) years of law firm Commercial litigation paralegal experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to electronically file (CM/ECF) pleadings required.
• highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize, be a team player, and have excellent written and verbal skills.
• College degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
• Strong working knowledge of MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Relativity, and Concordance required.
• Knowledge of I Manage a plus.
