PRN P T A (Physical Therapist Assis ta nt) Job Title :PRN P TA (Physical Therapy Assis ta nt) Location: Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad; 318 W 18th St, Cozad, NE 69130, USA Department: Rehab Reports to: Physical Therapist /Director of Rehab Position Type: PRN (As Needed) Shifts Available : PRN (As Needed) Job Summary: Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assis ta nt (P TA ) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The P TA will work closely with our physical therapists and nursing s ta ff to provide high-quality rehabili ta tion services to our residents. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving the mobility, strength, and overall quality of life for our patients through personalized care and support. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis. Work Environment: This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on patients’ needs and progress. Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed. Assessment & Documen ta tion: Collect and document patient da ta , including progress notes, treatment outcomes, and responses to therapy. Report any changes in patients' conditions to the physical therapist. Education & Support: Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, equipment use , and strategies for enhancing functional independence. Offer guidance on home exercise programs and preventive care. Equipment Management: Set up and main ta in therapeutic equipment and assist patients with the use of therapeutic devices and aids. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Main ta in a clean and safe therapy environment. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program. Licensure: Current s ta te licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assis ta nt (P TA ) in NE Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabili ta tion setting preferred but not required . Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide compassionate patient care. Proficiency in basic computer skills for documen ta tion purposes. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, perform physical ta sks, and handle equipment as required for therapy sessions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
