Senior Business Analyst FinOps

Job Summary:
The Sr. Business Analyst (FinOps tools) will lead efforts in supporting cloud cost management software for the Federal Reserve Board. This role involves onboarding new users, creating dashboards and reports, preparing documentation, and ensuring data consistency. The analyst will work closely with technical teams to optimize cloud financial operations and provide actionable insights. Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in supporting cloud cost management software.
- Onboard new users and create widgets, dashboards, and reports.
- Prepare documentation, user guides, presentations, and reports.
- Compare data sets to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams.
- Analyze and visualize data using BI tools.
- Strong foundation in cloud computing concepts and terminology.
- Knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost management.
- Experience with IBM Cloudability or similar FinOps tools.
- Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools (Excel, Power BI).
- Experience working with data analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Understanding of AWS cloud computing services.
- Experience or certification in cloud computing environments, preferably AWS.
- Working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Familiarity with scripting tools and languages.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Role supports Federal Reserve Board cloud cost management initiatives.
- May require handling sensitive or confidential financial data.
- Collaboration with highly technical and cross-functional teams is essential.
- 12-month contract position based in Washington, DC.
