The position will provide comprehensive training into Labor and Delivery and will provide full-scope Labor & Delivery night shift nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where nurses are trusted to practice with autonomy and clinical judgment.Responsibilities include:OB triage and patient assessmentLabor support and fetal monitoringVaginal deliveriesCirculating and recovering C-sectionsPostpartum recoveryNewborn stabilization and educationPatient and family educationCollaboration with physicians, anesthesia, pediatric, and interdisciplinary care teamsThis role is ideal for nurses who enjoy critical thinking, adaptability, clinical independence, and providing highly personalized care throughout the birth experience.Preferred ExperienceCritical Care (ICU) experience and/or Emergency Department experience preferred to transition into Labor and DeliveryMinimum QualificationsCurrent license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
