The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) is seeking candidates for a journey-level Management Analyst position. This role involves performing analytical, research, and program/project coordination duties in the Planning and Regional Programs department.

The position is open until filled and requires approval from the Board of Directors, expected on September 2, 2026. The salary range is $75,955.00 - $113,933.00 annually. The office is located at 1170 West 3rd Street, 2nd Floor, San Bernardino, CA.

This job involves a variety of professional, technical, and policy-related research on transportation and land use issues. It includes preparing and proofreading reports, letters, and other written materials; leading and participating in the preparation, development, implementation, and revision of short- and long-term transit and transportation plans; and collaborating with various agencies on the development and implementation of the Active Transportation Program (ATP).

Candidates should have knowledge of operations and services within assigned program areas, principles of program/project coordination, transportation planning, budget development, contract administration, and public administration. They should also have the ability to research, analyze, and present information effectively, prepare and manage budgets and contracts, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Education typically includes graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, urban planning, environmental science, political science, finance, or a closely related field, along with three years of increasingly responsible analytical or administrative experience in a related field.

Physical demands include mobility to work in an office setting, operate a motor vehicle, and visit various meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 25 pounds.
