CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 18 months of recent nursing experience, with a strong preference for those who have experience specifically in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting. Candidates should have proficiency in circulating open-heart cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room for cardiovascular procedures.
• Circulate open-heart cases ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and provide support during operations.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices within the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in CVOR, specifically with circulating open-heart cases.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Shift and On-Call Requirements

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• On-call requirements will be discussed with the manager, including:
  • 1-2 on-call shifts during weekdays from the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the next morning.
  • One weekend call every six weeks (24 hours on Saturday and 24 hours on Sunday).
  • One working shift on Saturday or Sunday every six weeks, typically coordinated with weekend call.
  • Possible rotation on holiday call schedule if needed.
