CNC Oxy/Plasma Machine Operator

Intsel Steel West, a subsidiary of Triple-S Steel, originated from a small family retail operation in Houston, our business has expanded across the United States, South America, Dubai and Canada to selling over 1 Million tons per year. We supply steel for bridges, stadiums, barges, large structures as well as retail and project supply.

We are seeking a motivated CNC oxy/plasma machine operator. The operator will set up and operate overhead crane to load/unload steel plates, verify finished product meets specifications, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Responsibilities

Select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations
Measure materials to assure accuracy with design specifications
Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions
Keep work area clean and organized
Keep accurate record of daily operations and material usage

Qualifications

Experienced operating CNC plasma and oxy machines
Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes
Ability to read tape measure to within 1/16"
Experience with overhead crane
Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time
