We're an independent, multi-doctor general dental practice in Mundelein, hiring a leader to run the entire financial side of the practice—insurance, collections, and the systems that keep them accurate. Right now this work is split across several people. We want one person who owns it.

 

What You'll Do

• Verify patients' dental insurance benefits before their appointments
• Submit dental claims, follow up until they're paid, and appeal denials
• Work down patient balances and insurance A/R—especially anything aging past 90 days
• Present treatment plan costs and payment options to patients, and make sure financial agreements get signed
• Audit financial agreements and benefit verifications for accuracy
• Configure and maintain our practice management software and the in-house apps we build
• Track and report our financial numbers—collection rate, A/R aging, claim age—so the team knows where we stand
• Answer phones and help schedule patients alongside the rest of the front-office team
• Longer term: lead the move to bring our outsourced billing in house

 

What We're Looking For

• Experience with dental (or medical) billing, insurance, collections, or revenue cycle—and results you can point to
• Comfortable in practice management software and quick to pick up new systems
• Detail-oriented with claims and numbers; you catch errors before patients do
• Able to hold a team to a standard without making it personal
• Organized enough to document a process so it doesn't live only in your head

*Dental experience is a strong plus but not required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

$65,000–$85,000 based on experience. Health benefits, PTO, retirement with employer contribution, continuing education budget, and dental care for you and your immediate family.
