The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination of the patient's experience and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs high quality and patient focused care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.ResponsibilitiesReports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings.Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.Adheres to the following environmental care standards.Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.QualificationsEducation:Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.Preferred: BSNExperience:NoneRequired Certification/Licensure/Registration:Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.American Heart Association BLS certificationFor Telemetry and higher acuity units: ACLS (AHA) and Basic EKG interpretation are also required.Other Qualifications:NoneOrganization DescriptionDelray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years.
