Lead QA Technician - Metrology

Lead QA Technician supporting metrology operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Responsible for executing metrology protocols, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, programming coordinate measuring machines, and developing quality work instructions and training materials in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute metrology protocols including measurement uncertainty analysis for standards and process instrumentation
- Program and operate coordinate measuring machines per inspection plans and quality specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair laboratory equipment; coordinate external repair technician visits
- Support nonconformance and complaint investigations with corrective and preventative actions
- Develop and maintain quality work instructions, training materials, and professional competency
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; two-year technology degree or ASQ certification preferred
- 2+ years of hands-on coordinate measuring machine (CMM) experience
- Understanding of technical procedures, specifications, and metrology principles
- Experience with regulated quality management systems and ISO 17025/ANSI Z540 standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP or similar ERP software preferred
Compensation: $23.26–$34.89 hourly
