About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiac Medical-Surgical Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three full 12-hour shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period. Self-scheduling options available. 48-hour guarantee accepted.

Highlights:

• 30-bed cardiac medical-surgical unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Supportive staffing model includes a free charge nurse to assist, unit secretary on day shift, and 3 PCTs per shift
• Experience with cardiac drips including titrated Cardizem and heparin; non-titratable dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
• Meditech documentation system with GE telemetry monitoring and portable WOWs
• Highest scoring inpatient med-surg unit for employee satisfaction with 12 internal awards within the department
• Floating rotation shared among travel nurses

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac experience and EKG rhythm identification skills required
• Familiarity with cardiac medications and drips
• Meditech experience preferred
