We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supervising the shift production crew to ensure the kilns, mills and auxiliary equipment are being operated safely and efficiently in order to produce a quality product.Responsible for following company Standard Operating Practices for plant operations.Must ensure all employees and contractors in the plant work in a safe manner, which is consistent with company work rules and MSHA standards.Must ensure the plant is run in a manner, which will avoid serious damage to equipment.Will run the plant in compliance with environmental regulations and ensure that product is manufactured to company standards.Must also ensure that equipment operating time and through put is maximized in a manner that is consistent with the company's practices and policies.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required; 2-year associate degree preferred2 years supervisory experience5 years experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environmentExperience supervising in a union environment is preferredControl room or lab experience is preferredAbility to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operationsExperience working in the cement, lime or aggregate industry is preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)Buzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
