Occupational Health Nurse

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM Work Setting: Onsite Salary: $87,360–$100,464 per year ($42.00–$48.30/hour), depending on education and experience We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare leader to serve as an Occupational Medicine Clinic Manager in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of an occupational medicine clinic, including staff leadership, patient care, regulatory compliance, operational performance, and employer health services. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational medicine, employee health, ambulatory care, workers' compensation, or outpatient clinic management and a strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Lead daily clinical and administrative operations of the occupational medicine clinic. Supervise and support nurses, medical assistants, providers, and administrative staff. Manage staffing, scheduling, patient flow, clinic capacity, and resource utilization. Promote patient safety, quality care, teamwork, accountability, and service excellence. Develop and improve clinic workflows, policies, procedures, and operational processes. Monitor productivity, efficiency, patient access, and overall clinic performance. Partner with physicians and clinical staff to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care. Manage and resolve employee and operational issues. Oversee occupational health and employer health services. Support workers' compensation evaluations and work-related injury management. Oversee pre-employment physicals, screenings, DOT medical examinations, drug and alcohol testing, return-to-work evaluations, and fitness-for-duty assessments. Build and maintain positive relationships with employers, insurers, workers' compensation partners, and other external stakeholders. Monitor employer service quality and contractual requirements. Identify opportunities to improve and expand occupational medicine services. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, DOT, CDC, CMS, workers' compensation requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations. Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities. Collaborate with organizational leadership on operational improvement and business growth initiatives. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado . Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience . Leadership, supervisory, or management experience. Experience with healthcare operations and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Experience using electronic health records and standard healthcare technology systems.
