Registered Nurse PCU Float

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks; guaranteed hours/week are not specified. Floating required to various units within the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is required.
• Ability to perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• Available for every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week assignment).

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and monitor patients in the PCU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care delivered.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
