Spanish-Speaking Mental Health Therapist

Mindify Wellness and Care is hiring Spanish-speaking mental health therapists to provide onsite and telehealth services to clients in New Jersey. The ability to conduct therapy in Spanish is required for this position.

We have established caseloads at partner adult day centers in:

• East Orange
• Newark
• South Amboy

Therapists may select one or more locations based on their availability. We welcome clinicians who can commit to one center as well as those interested in serving multiple locations.

Schedule

Our partner adult day centers generally operate Monday through Friday. Typical onsite hours are 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. , although hours may vary by location.

Onsite coverage is generally needed one to three days per week , depending on each center’s needs and the therapist’s availability. Telehealth sessions may be scheduled on the same days as onsite appointments or on separate days.

Our team works with each therapist to develop a schedule based on their availability, preferred locations, specialties, and caseload capacity.

Compensation

$35–$45 per completed clinical session

Rates are based on licensure level, credentials, experience, and clinical expertise. Therapists are paid for completed sessions; cancellations and patient no-shows are not compensated.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide therapy in Spanish and English, based on client needs
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy within your training and scope of practice
• Use evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches
• Help clients develop coping skills, emotional-regulation strategies, and treatment goals
• Provide crisis intervention when clinically appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, care managers, and other members of the treatment team
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate community resources
• Follow HIPAA requirements, payer guidelines, professional standards, and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• An active New Jersey behavioral health license or credential appropriate to the services provided, such as LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, or LMFT
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, including the ability to conduct assessments and therapy sessions in Spanish
• Ability to provide onsite services in East Orange, Newark, and/or South Amboy
• Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
• Strong communication, organization, and care-coordination skills

Experience in outpatient behavioral health, community-based care, telehealth, adult day centers, or working with diverse populations is preferred.

This posting is for a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Mindify provides patient referrals, administrative support, clinical supervision when required, and company-provided malpractice coverage.
