Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician II - ENDO is a certified professional responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, disinfection, and safe handling of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment. This individual will apply their expertise to ensure efficient performance and compliance with operational standards, contributing to the overall success of the department. Success in this position requires a high level of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Experience and Education: Required:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 18 months of healthcare experience
• Licenses and Certifications: Must hold Technical Certification upon hire and Scope, Specialty, or Leadership Certification within 12 months of hire (CRCST) CRCST with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent upon hire and (CER) Certified Endoscope Reprocessor with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent within 1 year or (CIS) CERTIFIED INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent within 1 year or (CHL) CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE LEADER with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent within 1 year

Preferred: A minimum of one year experience in endoscope reprocessing.

Job Duties:

• Proven understanding of departmental policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and safety protocols
• Performs Quality Assurance and Clean Verification as necessary and successfully logs in record keeping locations.
• Successfully performs High-Level Disinfection (HLD) of all equipment and accessories according to department guidelines and Manufactures Instruction for Use (MFIU)
• Successfully completes and masters scope specific competency program
• Scans all items received in work areas according to workflows provided
• Receives and inventories departmental supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
• Communicates all defects, delays in reprocessing, and concerns to leadership
