Job Title: ED RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Travel experience required. - Critical care and charge experience preferred. License: - Current state RN license required. Certifications: - BLS and ACLS required. - PALS required. - Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation. - Must be defibrillation certified within six months of employment. - Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified. Must-Have: - Must possess the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations. - Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing principles to provide quality patient care. - Must be able to assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects. - Must recognize safety issues to self and others. - Must be able to properly assess and implement the use of lifts to move patients safely. - Must function well in stressful situations and possess good problem-solving skills. - Must possess strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate duties. - May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills are required. Description: This position is for an RN in the Emergency Department. The role requires providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and decisive action are necessary to handle life-threatening situations. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with patients and team members. The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of assessing safety issues. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work 7 PM to 7 AM shifts. This role involves a 36-hour guarantee per week. The ideal candidate will have travel experience and be well-versed in using MEDITECH. This position is geared toward those looking to enhance their nursing careers in an emergency setting.
