Additional Information: Location: 920 Church Street N, Concord, NC 28025 Bed count: 32 beds Minimum years of experience: 18 months in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing Patient types include small bowel obstructions, general surgeries (e.g., colectomy, colon/small bowel resections, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, splenectomy, thyroidectomy), kidney stones, pneumothorax, bariatric surgery, rib fractures, hip fractures, joint replacements, cellulitis Patient ratios: RN: 1:4-6; surge times could be 1:7-8 Support staff: CNA, RT, hospitalist, intensivist, telemetry monitoring (remote capabilities), phlebotomy, and resource nurse support as staffing allows Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record, BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Masimo monitors, remote telemetry Duties include wound care, chest tube management, PIV starts, NG tubes, ostomy care, drains, continuous bladder irrigation, tube feeds, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and support with Peripheral Blood Draws and IV therapy.
