Recruiter: Fallon Clark | View email address on click.appcast.io | Call/Text View phone number on click.appcast.io Job Overview As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided tractor‑trailer, straight, or box truck. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently connecting with Airgas customers. Responsibilities Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers Support deliveries in a timely manner Safely secure and unsecure cylinders Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; the position is physically active and hands‑on Move frequently in and out of the vehicle View a day in the life of an Airgas driver: Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements No more than two (2) traffic convictions, or two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months Preferred Qualifications Forklift experience Benefits Compensation: $30.00/hr Monday – Friday schedule, consistent routine with morning start and late afternoon end time Typically a reliable 40–45 hour weekly flow Referral bonus: $1,000 Comprehensive family benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance Support for parents: up to 14 weeks of paid child birth benefit Future security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time Early access: Benefits start after 30 days of employment We care about and support our Airgas families.
