What You'll Do Stop Scrolling, Read This Part

You'll spend your day transporting materials, coordinating deliveries and pickups, loading and unloading products, and helping ensure parts arrive safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer to transport materials and products.
• Deliver and retrieve parts from suppliers and business partners.
• Load and unload products using forklifts, tow motors, and material handling equipment.
• Complete shipping and transportation documentation accurately.
• Maintain required driver logs and transportation records.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Use computer systems and shipping software to support daily operations.
• Pull and stage materials from inventory locations, including elevated storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, Shipping, Purchasing, and Production teams.
• Represent Batesville Tool & Die professionally while visiting suppliers and customers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and company safety programs.
• Work overtime or flexible schedules when business needs require.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A (Restricted) or Not restricted Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required and current DOT physical card required.
• High school diploma, GED, or HSE preferred.
• Forklift/tow motor experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position combines driving responsibilities with shipping and material handling duties in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and material handling.
• Frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to operate forklifts, tow motors, and rack pickers.
• Ability to access elevated storage locations up to 25 feet.

Work Environment

Employees may be exposed to and conditions may vary depending on route assignments and operational needs.

• Outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Manufacturing and warehouse environments.
• Noise, humidity, and varying temperatures.
• Vehicle traffic and material handling equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Safety glasses and hearing protection
