As a Security Officer Checkpoint Control in Edgerton, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or team members, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, complete routine site activities, and help address security-related concerns with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering or exiting the location in accordance with site protocols and screening procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor access permissions, and help to document entry activity, deliveries, and other screening-related information.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Monitor designated entry points and surrounding areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or items of concern, and help to support an orderly access process.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
