Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents to identify unique emotional and psychological needs.

• Provide tailored individual and group counseling sessions addressing emotional challenges related to aging, loss, and life transitions.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement robust care plans for geriatric clients.

• Educate and support staff, families, and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance the emotional welfare of elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be providing counseling services to the elderly, many of whom face complex mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment disorders. Our clients are often dealing with significant transitions, including the loss of loved ones, retirement, health declines, and other life changes. You will be instrumental in helping them build coping strategies and resilience to navigate these challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
