Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, payroll processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with Sage 300 and payroll systems such as Checkwriters . Key Responsibilities Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end close processes Process and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely Process payroll using Checkwriter s, including exporting payroll data and importing it into Sage 30 0 Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support inventory and cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls Assist with external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend process improvements Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounting Experience processing payroll using Checkwriter rs or a similar payroll system Experience with Sage 300 (or comparable ERP/accounting software). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Formulas and data analysis Importing, exporting, and manipulating large datasets Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
