The Opportunity: What You’ll Do
As the Inventory & Production Planning Manager , you are the operational engine of DenLine. You will sit at the crossroads of supply chain management, data analysis, and internal communication.
In this role, you manage product demand forecasting and fabric sourcing while guiding production at our dedicated third-party manufacturing plant in the Dominican Republic. You will also directly supervise our Quincy Stockroom Supervisor to ensure inventory levels, receipts, and ship tickets remain 100% accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production & Supply Chain Planning
- Drive Dominican Plant Production: Set weekly production priorities and maintain a rolling 4-week Work in Process (WIP) pipeline with our Dominican manufacturing partner.
- Master Inventory Control: Analyze product sales history, seasonal trends, and color/style velocity to continuously set and adjust Minimum/Maximum stock levels in Quincy.
- Material & Fabric Sourcing: Order technical fabrics and accessories, manage supplier relationships, and inspect/approve incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the bridge between Sales (customer demand) and Production (plant capacity), translating customer orders into clear plant priorities.
2. Product Costing & Accounting Records
- Cost Tracking: Maintain precise product cost records and compile monthly Inventory Cost Reports for executive management.
- Inventory Accounting: Track stock movement, review shipping tickets posted by the stockroom team, and reconcile physical inventory against sales data.
3. Warehouse Leadership & Support
- Supervise Stockroom Operations: Directly oversee the Stockroom Supervisor responsible for receiving plant shipments, order picking, and shipping ticket posts.
- Hands-on Teamwork: Assist the stockroom team during peak shipment arrivals (requires the physical capability to comfortably lift and move boxes up to 35 lbs).
Qualifications We Are Looking For
Required Education & Background:
- Education: Associate Degree (minimum) with coursework in Math, Accounting, Computer Applications, and Business Administration.
- Accounting & Numerical Aptitude: Strong background or natural enjoyment in working with numbers, inventory accounting, and cost tracking.
Core Technical & Soft Skills:
- Excel Expertise: Skilled in building spreadsheets from scratch, applying formulas, data formatting, and managing multi-tab inventory workbooks.
- Tech & Communication Tools: Proficient in MS Office (Teams, Outlook) and comfortable maintaining a weekly updated WIP tracking system.
- Communication & Coordination: Exceptional ability to communicate clearly—translating customer orders from Sales into actionable priorities for the plant floor.
Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Qualifications:
- Practical experience with QuickBooks (A/R & Inventory tracking) .
- Prior experience in apparel, textiles, soft goods, or medical device supply chain planning.
Physical & Hiring Requirements:
- Ability to physically lift and move inventory boxes up to 35 lbs during shipment deliveries.
- Hiring is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
