Position Summary The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Peoria campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine seeks General OB/GYN physicians for full-time or part-time roles providing comprehensive health care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students. Our growing program can offer candidates a position tailored to your interests of providing OB/GYN patient care, teaching future physicians in the heart of the Midwest, and enjoying the benefits of a flexible work/life program in the settings of inpatient and/or outpatient care. Job Duties & Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing both outpatient and inpatient settings. Actively participate in the teaching of residents and medical students in the context of clinical obstetrics and gynecology, fostering a culture of learning and professional development. Engage in scholarly activities. Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery. Minimum Qualifications (required) MD or DO. Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Preferred Qualifications (optional) Demonstrated ability to teach residents and medical students. Experience or interest in research and academic leadership preferred. Faculty also have access to a world-class medical simulation center. The budgeted salary range for the position is $350,000 to $400,000 per year. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
