Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and establish tailored treatment plans.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group settings.

  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions focused on allowing patients to process their trauma experiences and learn effective coping strategies.

  • Conduct group therapy sessions that promote support and healing among individuals facing similar trauma-related challenges.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.

  • Provide timely crisis intervention for patients in acute distress as a result of trauma.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of sessions and clinical interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

  • Engage actively in professional development and training related to trauma-informed care best practices.

  • Stay informed on the latest developments and research in mental health and trauma therapy to continually enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population includes individuals recovering from various forms of trauma, including those facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients come to us seeking support in processing their traumatic experiences and acquiring strategies for resilience. You will have the opportunity to make a transformative impact on their recovery, guiding them through personalized treatment plans and evidence-based therapy.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
  • \n
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, preferably with trauma-affected populations.

  • Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and interventions.

  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under high-stress situations.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary care team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
