Phoenix Pro Connect is supporting a manufacturing and distribution company with operations across Latin America. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Accountant based out of their Fort Lauderdale office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of U.S. operations while collaborating with international teams.

The organization has three Senior Accountants globally, and this individual will be the only Senior Accountant in Fort Lauderdale. You will report directly to the controller. The CFO is located in the US. The senior accountant will provide critical financial oversight and be the primary point of contact for all accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports under U.S. GAAP
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit readiness
• Work closely with the team in Colombia to ensure consistency in financial procedures and reporting
• Use advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting
• Maintain strong internal controls and support compliance activities
• Travel occasionally to Colombia for hands-on collaboration with the Latin American finance team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in full-cycle accounting; audit background preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
• Experience working with international teams is a plus
• Must be comfortable being the lead senior accountant onsite in Fort Lauderdale
• Must pass a background check, credit check, and drug test
• Local to Fort Lauderdale area and available to work in the office three days per week
